Now that the weather is changing I feel like my skin care routine is changing too. Warmer temperatures call for new ways to keep your skin healthy and hydrated for summer. Here are some of the products I use to ensure that my makeup lasts longer and doesn’t leave my skin feeling drier than the desert.
This moisturizer goes on smoothly and can outlast the heat. It also works as a base for makeup. I sometimes apply it on top of my cheekbone highlight to create a dewy glow. It is oil-free so it doesn’t cause you to breakout like some moisturizers do.
I recommend using eye cream instead of a regular moisturizer under your eyes. regular moisturizer will create a layer under your eye and not fully absorb into your skin. This might look funny once you apply concealer or any other makeup afterwards. I know this from personal experience!
I usually use the deep cleansing pore strips but for warmer weather, this mask leaves your skin feeling cool and tingly. I love how you don’t need to wait 10 minutes for it to dry like other masks. All you have to do is massage it into your skin for about a minute and wash it off. It’s perfect if you’re someone who is constantly on the go!
Instead of using self-tanner, I use Jergens Natural Glow because it’s easy to apply just like a regular daily moisturizer. I use the one that that includes a firming daily moisturizer and I can definitely see the difference. After applying this cream I recommend waiting several minutes before covering the area so it can set in. Bonus: It smells good too!
In the summer it’s easy for your makeup to look caked on especially if you’re using a powder foundation. BB Cream is a great way to give you a light and effortless look. It’s almost like a moisturizer with a little bit of coverage. This BB Cream in particular is very light and almost feels like you’re wearing no makeup at all. If you absolutely can’t live without your foundation it also works as a good base.
